BIO
Dr. Malin received his Bachelor of Science with distinction from the College of Engineering at Cornell University in Chemical Engineering. He pursued his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then continued as intern and resident in the Department of Surgery, and the Department of Orthopaedics. He completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Thomas Jefferson University & The Rothman Institute.
After his fellowship, he moved with his wife and two daughters to Skowhegan, Maine, where he worked in solo practice with the local hospital. In 1996 he and his family moved to Newtown, Connecticut where he began private orthopaedic practice with arthroplasty subspecialty in Bridgeport. In 2004, he joined Orthopaedic Specialty Group.
Dr. Malin has participated in numerous research endeavors, and has presented many publications throughout his career. He enjoys enhancing his medical and surgical education in order to remain up-to-date with modern technologies and progressive techniques. Among his repertoire is the newest technique for a total hip arthroplasty: a direct anterior approach.
He is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Eastern Orthopaedic Association, the Connecticut Orthopaedic Society, and the Fairfield County Medical Association.
